What to Expect

Explore Japan’s major cities, Osaka, Hokuriku, and Tokyo! Travel to Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara, where you can walk among deer and through a bamboo forest, all the way to Narita and Haneda airports in Tokyo. Visit Japan’s famous Dinosaur Museum at Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest Nagaoyama Park and ride along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route for one of the best views of Japan!

Service zones:
Unlimited use of ordinary car reserved seats on Hokuriku Shinkansen (Tokyo to Kanazawa), limited express, and local (including rapid service) trains, and all Tokyo Monorail lines within the free usage area.
* Service is not covered on

• - Bullet Train "TOKAIDO SHINKANSEN" (Shin-Osaka?Tokyo)
• - Bullet Train “SANYO SHINKANSEN” (Shin-Osaka ?Hakata)

The pass can be used for traveling between Kanazawa and Tsubata on the IR Ishikawa Railway, but not to stations between these stations.

The pass can be used for traveling between Takaoka and Toyama on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway, but not to stations between these stations. Separate fees apply when using a car or train where numbered boarding tickets or liner tickets are required.

Validity:  The pass will be valid for seven consecutive days from the first day of use.
The pass will be valid at 12:00 a.m. from the start day to 12:00 a.m. on the last day (all times Japan Standard Time).
However, if the validity period expires while riding a train on the last day, the pass will be valid for the fare until the following day so long as the passenger does not exit the station, and for ticket fees so long as the passenger does not depart the train.

Service trains:

• Hokuriku Arch Pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area on the map
• ? Valid trains are below
  • Reserved seats on HOKURIKU SHINKANSEN (Tsuruga?Tokyo)
  • Reserved seats on Limited Express Trains. HARUKA, THUNDERBIRD,etc.
  • * For reserved seating, ensure you book your seats before boarding the train.
  • * Non-reserved seating is not available on trains with exclusively reserved seats.
    Shinkansen
  • Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST and JR-EAST JR Lines.
  • Tokyo Monorail lines
    • The IR Ishikawa Railway Line between Kanazawa and Tsubata. However, travel must be conducted on local or limited express trains and must encompass the full segment between these two stations. Travel is not covered if you disembark at any station on the IR Ishikawa Railway line, within or outside the segment (excluding Kanazawa or Tsubata).
    • The Ainokaze Toyama Railway Line between Toyama and Takaoka. However, travel must be conducted on local trains and must encompass the full segment between these two stations. Travel is not covered if you disembark at any station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway line, within or outside the segment (excluding Toyama or Takaoka).
    • The Hapi-Line Fukui between Echizen-Hanand? and Fukui. However, travel must be conducted only on local trains and only between these two stations (Echizen-Hanand? or Fukui). Travel is not covered if you extend beyond these two stations on the Hapi-Line Fukui.
