The Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is a policy designed to limit the daily usage of heavy bandwidth users, e.g. individuals who use file-sharing software or torrent applications on their devices. Local Internet Service Providers (ISP) set a cap for data usage that reduces the data speed of users who cross the threshold, allowing for fair connection speed for other users on the same network.
Once you have exceeded the data cap, your connectivity speed will be automatically reduced. This is only temporary as the cap will reset the next day (depending on ISP policy).
